The process...

lastwishesmobileve

We often get enquiries from our clients asking how to the process works on the day. Here is a quick guide on how a visit generally works. Please bear in mind all cases are individual so may differ from the below to meet your and your pets needs.......

When you have decided to book a visit, we will then come to your home. We will discuss and confirm your options again at your home and ask you to sign a form to consent to the euthanasia. If you have chosen to have cremation, we will also confirm your choices and fill out a small form. When you feel you are ready, we begin by giving your pet a sedative injection. Once the sedative has been administered we will then allow time for the sedative to work, this is on average approximately 10 minutes although some take less time while others may need a top up of more sedative. There is no rush and as many people/pets as you want can be present. Once the sedative has taken effect, and only when you are ready, they will then receive a second injection, allowing your pet to pass peacefully. Please note this whole process is not in any way painful or stressful for you pet and they are already fully sedated. Following this, if you have chosen to have us arrange your cremation, we can then give you time to say goodbye to your pet before leaving. We will then aim to return your pet home to you within 2 weeks
