A large number of our clients know they would like their pet cremated, but are unsure with what to do with them afterwards. It can be difficult to decide whether to keep them (either on display or stored away), scatter them in a special place or do something completely different with them. Here are a few options for you to have a think about what you could do with your pets ashes..

Memorial jewellery - In this day and age the selection of memorial jewellery on the market is vast. Not only in the type of jewellery (such as bracelets, necklaces, rings, brooches etc) but also colours and designs. This also only uses a very small amount of ashes so you could have this as an addition to keeping the ashes in an urn.

Tattoos - Not only can you have your pets paw prints as a tattoo, but you can now have a very small amount of your pets ashes incorporated into the tattoo ink. Again, this uses a very small amount of ashes so this could be done along with keeping their ashes in an urn.

Scatter the ashes - a very popular option is to scatter pet ashes in a special place. This could be their favourite place for a walk, somewhere that holds a special memory or even in your garden.

Memorial ornaments - as with Memorial jewellery, the choice of memorial ornaments on the market at the moment is huge. This includes items such as paperweights, candle holders, resin ornaments, glass work and soft toys. There really is something to suit everyone.

We always advice if you are unsure on what to do, then please do not rush a decision. Ashes are irreplaceable so it's important to take your time to think carefully how you will use them
