One of the biggest worries we find our clients have is wondering if it is the right time to say goodbye to their pet. Its often a fine line of not wanting their pet to suffer but also not wanting to do it too soon. No two pets are the same and each case should be assessed individually, but here are some of the most common signs that your pets quality of life is declining....

Lack of interest - this can be in their daily activities such as walks, welcoming family members when they come home, playing or just socialising in general
Loss of mobility - Struggling to move from their bed, cannot stand up or falling down often
Refusing food or drink, or they could be drinking a lot more
Pain - Are they in pain which cannot be managed by medication? Is it getting worse or unbearable due to old age, prolonged or terminal illness?
Incontinence - have they started to pee/poo in the house and can no longer control the urge to go?
Are there more bad days than good day in the happiness and quality of life your pet has?
As previously mentioned, each case is unique and this list is a basic guide that your pets quality of life is declining.
