Getting in touch is simply the first step. Whether you contact us by phone, email, WhatsApp or text, we'll take the time to listen, answer your questions and talk through your wishes at a pace that feels right for you.
We'll discuss your pet, their condition, any special wishes you may have, and the options available to you, including aftercare. If you decide that a home visit is the right choice, we'll arrange an appointment at a time that suits you and your family.
If you're not yet sure whether it's the right time to say goodbye, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We're always happy to talk through your pet's symptoms, discuss any concerns you may have, and offer gentle guidance without any pressure or obligation.
OUR VISIT
A peaceful goodbye

Before we begin, we'll talk everything through with you once more, answer any questions you may have, and ask you to complete a consent form.
We'll first administer a gentle sedative, allowing your pet to become deeply relaxed before drifting into a peaceful sleep. This usually takes around 10 minutes, although every pet is different and some may take a little longer or require additional sedation. There is never any rush.
Once your pet is fully asleep, and only when you feel ready, we'll administer the final medication, allowing them to pass away peacefully. They will remain fully sedated throughout and will not experience any pain or distress.
Afterwards, we'll give you as much private time as you need to say goodbye. If you've chosen for us to arrange cremation, we'll gently take your pet into our care when you feel ready.
Aftercare

Before your appointment, we'll have taken the time to discuss your wishes and the arrangements you'd like us to make afterwards, so you can simply focus on spending time with your pet.
If you've chosen a home burial, your pet will remain with you. Alternatively, we can gently take them into our care and arrange an individual cremation on your behalf.
As part of our service, we also offer complimentary keepsakes, including a paw print and/or a clipping of your pet's fur, should you wish.
If you've chosen to have your pet's ashes returned to you, we aim to return them within two weeks.
Pet bereavement support
Our care doesn't end after you've said goodbye. We offer free, confidential pet loss support to all our clients, helping families before and after the loss of a beloved pet.
Gem is an accredited Pet Loss Support Advisor, having completed her training with Blue Cross. If you're struggling with the decision to say goodbye, or coping with the loss of your pet, you can book a free telephone, WhatsApp or online support session with her.
These sessions provide a safe, supportive space to talk through your thoughts and feelings. While they are not a counselling service, many families find them incredibly helpful during such a difficult time.
