Many pets become anxious when visiting the vet, while at home they are often more relaxed in familiar surroundings. Families also tell us they feel calmer at home, where there is no waiting room, no time pressure and no need to rush.

Choosing at home pet euthanasia also gives you the flexibility to make your pet's final moments personal and meaningful, whether that's enjoying a favourite treat, resting in a favourite spot, or having the whole family present to say goodbye. It can also be a more practical option for pets with mobility problems and for owners who find travelling difficult.

Losing a beloved pet can be every bit as heartbreaking as losing a family member, and everyone experiences grief differently. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and no one should ever feel embarrassed or ashamed for the emotions they experience after losing a pet.

Our support doesn't end after your pet has passed away. You're always welcome to contact us if you'd like someone to talk to, or if you'd like guidance towards additional pet bereavement resources and support.

We're also pleased to offer free, confidential pet loss support with Gem, who is an accredited Pet Loss Support Advisor, having completed her training with Blue Cross UK. If you're struggling with the decision to say goodbye, or coping with the loss of your pet, you can book a telephone, WhatsApp or online session with Gem to talk through your thoughts and feelings in a safe, supportive environment.

Many people tell us they feel "silly" or that they're overreacting because it was "just a dog" or "just a cat". We accept cash, card and bank transfer. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, we kindly ask that payment is made at least two hours before your appointment so that we can confirm receipt before your visit.
